Learn YUME Head Spa in Japan.

🆕 New dates: April 21–23, 2027 · Osaka
Early bird pricing: $3,475 CAD · 10 participants · Taught in English

There’s something different about learning a service in the place that shaped it. In Osaka, you’ll step inside Takara Belmont’s TB-SQUARE to study YUME Head Spa, practise on the equipment it was designed for and spend time understanding the care behind the technique.

Join Jessica Hoach for two days of practical training, followed by a practical technique review, a tour of the Takara Belmont building and an introduction to scalp analysis on Day 3. Our April 13–15 class is fully booked, and we’re looking forward to welcoming a second group to Japan.

The details your guests will feel

A head spa experience is shaped by more than the sequence. It’s how you support the head, build a lather, control the water and move from one step to the next. Your guest feels the difference, even when they can’t quite explain why.

Through Takara Belmont’s YUME method, you’ll work on pressure, positioning, posture, breath, pace and sequence. You’ll learn how these elements fit together, with attention to both guest comfort and the way you use your own body throughout a treatment.

Jessica’s YUME Mindful Fieldbook Method helps you connect each movement with its purpose. You’ll consider what your hands are doing, what your guest is experiencing and what to adjust as you practise.

Your three days in Osaka

Day 1 · Understand the method
Begin with the principles behind YUME, consultation and guest preparation. Work through the treatment sequence with guided practice in hand placement, pressure, cleansing, shampooing and rinsing. Connect the movements with guest comfort and your own positioning.

Day 2 · Develop your delivery
Build on your practice through massage movements, rhythm, transitions and equipment use. Bring the sequence together with instructor feedback, refining the details that make your delivery feel consistent and considered. These first two days build the practical foundation of the YUME Global Certification course, with a technique review on Day 3.

Day 3 · Review, explore and connect
Review the practical techniques covered during your training and revisit the details of your delivery. Tour the Takara Belmont building and showroom, see the equipment up close and take part in an introduction to scalp analysis. Begin learning how to observe the scalp, describe what you see and use those observations to guide a care conversation.

YUME certified graduates in Japan, fall 2025

Meet your instructor, Jessica Hoach

Jessica is an independent educator appointed by Takara Belmont as a YUME Global Instructor, teaching its most advanced level of YUME Head Spa education through Eikonic Academy. Eikonic is the only college worldwide offering YUME education at this level.

She is also Eikonic Academy’s cofounder and Dean, a Trichology Practitioner I.A.T., and a certified instructor for Aneo Solution’s Scalp Wellness Standard of Care.

As a consultant working with spas and salons around the world, Jessica has helped business owners, massage therapists, managers, spa owners, stylists and barbers integrate head spa into their services. Her work connects technique and practitioner care with the decisions that make the service work for a business, from equipment and pricing to team training and the guest experience.

That experience comes into the classroom. Alongside the practical work, you’ll explore how what you’re learning can fit your clientele, your space and the kind of business you want to build.
